How do I book a study space?

UCD Library provides bookable spaces to support your learning and research:
- Group Study Rooms bookable for up to 2 hours per day. Rooms are for study purposes only and groups must have at least three people.
- Zoom Rooms for virtual meetings, interviews, and webinars. These are not intended for individual study. Please bring your own device.
- Study Seats – bookable for a maximum of 8 hours per day.
To Book a Study Space:
- Go to the Book a Study Space page.
- Select a Location.
- Select a Capacity.
- Click Show Availability.
- Pick a date using the Go To Date icon, then choose a time slot (available slots show in green).
- Submit the booking form — you will receive a confirmation email.
Important: If you do not check in within the time stated in your confirmation email, your booking will be cancelled automatically and the space made available to others.
Terms and conditions
- Only registered UCD students can book study spaces.
- A valid UCD UCard is required for entry.
- You must use your UCD Connect login to make a booking.
- Bookings can be made up to one week in advance.
- Seats can be booked for a maximum of 8 hours per day (slots are in 30-minute or 1-hour increments).
- You must check in when you arrive, using the URL link and code in your confirmation email. If you do not check in within 15 minutes of the booking start time, the booking will be cancelled.
- Cancel your booking if you cannot attend. The cancellation link is in your confirmation email.
- Take your belongings with you when leaving the study space.

Keep your confirmation email as proof of your booking.
