If I don’t have my UCard, how can I enter the Library?
Answer
You can enter the Library with a temporary card from the kiosk or with your UCD Library App digital library card.
Temporary Library Card:
You can get a temporary card from the kiosk near the Library entrance gates at the James Joyce Library.
- Enter your UCD Connect username and password.
- The machine will print your temporary card.
Important:
- Your temporary card replaces your UCard for the whole day — keep it with you to enter and exit the Library.
- You can only get one temporary card per day.
- You cannot borrow with a temporary card.
Digital Library Card:
- Open the app and tap Library Account, then tap Sign In.
- Enter in your UCD Connect username and password, then tap Login.
- Once signed in, tap My Barcode near the top of the screen, just above Library Account. Your digital library card will then display.
iPhone users: You will also see an option to Add to Apple Wallet. If you add your card, your library barcode will be available directly in Wallet, so you won’t need to log in to the app for gate access. This is optional, and the app will continue to work as normal
